Single Table Tournaments
In the tournament lobby, once you select the tournament option you will see a tab labeled “Sit ‘n Gos”. These are primarily 1 table tournaments that will start when the required number of players has registered. Some of these tournaments will have more than 1 table, but their common feature is that they start when the tournament is full rather than at a specific time.
Sit ‘n Go tournaments are available for both Texas Hold ’em and Omaha games at Cake Poker. You can play in one of these tournaments for as little as $1 or as much as $5,000.
Multi Table Tournaments
Multi table tournaments (MTTs) can have anywhere from 10-20 entrants all the way up to several thousands of entrants. Unlike the sit ‘n go tournaments, these tournaments will start at a certain time no matter how many people are registered.
MTTs can have a variety of different structures. There are traditional tournaments as well as some newer tournament structures that make the games a little more exciting. Be sure to check out the bounty tournaments and kamikaze tournaments. You can read more about the game types offered on the cake poker website; Cake Poker.
